Launched on November 11, 2024, the new Suzuki Dzire becomes the first Maruti to receive full 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. The car was voluntarily sent by MSIL for the safety test. The bodyshell of the new Dzire was found as stable and capable of withstanding further loadings.
The new Dzire was launched at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The fourth-generation Dzire comes with an all-new exterior design and a feature-packed interior with segment-first features including a single-pane electric sunroof and a 360-degree surround view camera. It is packed with an updated Z-Series petrol engine that also powers the latest Swift hatchback.

How Safe is 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire?


The big update is that the new Dzire becomes the first Maruti Suzuki model to score 5 star safety rating in Global NCAP crash test. As standard, it gets six airbags, hill-hold assist, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), Seat-belt reminder and 3-point seatbelts for all seats and rear defogger. The top variants also get 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

New Maruti Dzire Crash Test Rating


The new Dzire is based on the heavily modified HEARTECT platform, which was rated as stable and capable of withstanding further loadings in Global NCAP crash test. It is the first Maruti car to receive full five-start safety rating by GNCAP.

The sedan scored 31.24 out of the maximum 34 points in the adult occupancy test and 39.20 out of 49 points in the child occupant test. Sent voluntarily by MSIL, the test unit was equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, reverse parking sensors, seatbelt reminder system, and a speed alert system.

Engine Specifications


The new Maruti Dzire is powered by a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the new Swift. This engine produces 80.87bhp and 112Nm of torque. The CNG version delivers 69.04bhp and 102Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT for the petrol only variants, while the CNG variant comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

What is the real mileage of Maruti Dzire


The new Suzuki Dzire has been one of the most fuel efficient sub-4 meter sedans on sale in our market. The manual version is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 24.79kmpl. Its efficiency increases to 25.71kmpl when paired to an AMT gearbox. The CNG version is the most fuel efficient with a certified mileage of 33.73km/kg. Dzire Real Mileage - in the real world conditions, the new Dzire returns an average mileage of around 18-19kmpl. It delivers around 16-17kmpl in city traffic while the efficiency rises to 22kmpl on highways.

What is the body size of Maruti Dzire?


In terms of proportions, the 4th Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is 3995mm long, 1735mm wide and 1525mm tall. The sedan rides on 2,450mm long wheelbase that's equivalent to the previous model. The sedan has a ground clearance of 163mm that's more than sufficient to tackle Indian roads.

What is the boot space of Maruti Suzuki Dzire?


The sedan offers a boot space of 382-litres, which is good enough to accommodate your weekly bags. Its petrol variant has a kerb weight of around 920-960kgs, while the gross weight stands at 1,375kg. The CNG variant has a CNG tank of 55L capacity. The sedan rides on 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped with 185-section tyres.
